Important notes

  1. Your Synology NAS may not notify you of this DSM update because of the following reasons. If you want to update your DSM to this version now, please click hereto update it manually.
    • Your DSM is working fine without having to update. The system evaluates service statuses and system settings to determine whether it needs to update to this version.
  2. Depending on your Synology NAS model, this update will restart the device.

Fixed Issues

  1. Fixed an issue where certain models might experience abnormal shutdown after updating to DSM 7.2.1.
  2. Fixed an issue where files deleted locally might still exist on the Hyper Backup destination server.
  3. Fixed an issue where file access failed due to errors during soft link creation in Btrfs file systems.
  4. Fixed an issue where deleting a snapshot of a WriteOnce shared folder in Hyper Backup might fail.
  5. Fixed an issue where SSD read-write cache might cause unexpected restarts of DSM on SA3200D and SA3400D.

Upgrade on Test Machine 720+ with:
Unsupported SSD's in SHR,
Unsupported RAM (10GB)
Unsupported SSD in Unsupported eSATA External Enclosure,
Supported R/W Cache (Seagate)

Tested from W7-64 laptop with: SA, icons on desktop.
Tested with iPhone: DS FINDER, DS CAM, DS FILE, DRIVE.

No issues with auto updating to/from existing connections to other NAS's with 7.2.1-1

OK

Update went ok on both 1871+ and 1821+. Let's let it run for a bit to see if anything pops up.

Supported 10gbe nic, supported r/w cache, unsupported drives, unsupported 64GB ram (btw the resource monitor vs task manager show completely different ram use...task manger shows universal search using 24GB, and synology drive using 6gb, yeah resource manager shows only 3% ram usage and there is a very large disconnect there), all working fine.
