I have three of the red drives from my old Windows Home Server now spun up on a old HP micro server running TrueNAS to take the local weekly backup's of my Synology. I only power it up on Sunday's now. I have three more spares from the old server so if one goes bad just rebuild the array on the TrueNAS and keep going. For over 6 years those red drives spun 24x7.
