Oldest continuous running drive.
LATE 1980’s PATA Quantum Quickview 330GB
used in an LG 3410a OTA/cable SD/HD DVR.

Intermittant duty still going: Seagate 2GB SCSI-1 external drive. Retired from Avid use in 1980’s. No idea the age.

Just before retirement 2015 assisted with getting pictures off an old Quantel Paintbox. Fujitsu 80 pin parallel interface with removable media. Got ~60% off before drive power supply croaked.

First drive encountered: Mid 1970’s: Seagate rack mount (Lambda power supplies), no idea storage size but it was high KB, used on a Data General Nova-2 with 16K of core memory, punch fan-fold paper tape reader. Used on CDL PEC-102 video editing system with Ampex Quad VTR’s.
