Understand your concern.
Here we believe in redundant copies, not Backups. Backups that can have their own list of issues over and above redundant copies! And identical firmware and drive type on ANY raid (SHR) who’s approach is more $$, but overall less failure prone, as determined over 36 years, on multiple platforms.
That, in conjunction with today’s Hardware Prices, have led us to come up with - agreed upon “disaster plans” on what to do if: X or Y hardware fails.
With today’s Prices: We have plans…. And they are NOT AT ALL pretty - but are pre-agreed to! At least we have a plan - it’s just uglier than hell, until prices return to normal!
We await for realistic hardware costs to return!!!
