Was Windy last night. Has caused internet outage in our area at 10:30 PM Last night. Still out. ISP says 114 involved, so I’m betting it is in a Fibre area. Our cable fed development on side of mountain goes 1/2 mile uphill along the one road up mountain (Hemphill road) to where it joins the Fibre from valley going uphill to other developments, and ski hotel at mountaintop adjacent to Smokey Mountains Natl Park. If you look at map, we are just below the SE corner of Smokey Mountains Natl Park, on Purchase Knob mountain.
Once modem returns to life, Will watch for 2600 ceasing to ask ISP for IP & Gateway.
Only way to re-start 2600 to looking get it to reconnect is power cycle or reboot 2600. Nothing done at Modem side accomplishes anything.
If anyone would like to suggest a script to be run….. to restart 2600 to looking for IP & Gateway from ISP, in lieu of a reset or power cycle. please suggest it. I don’t mind experimenting. Might as well make it a learning experience, too!

Fixed, and router reset... if anyone thinks of a script file, please contact me with it!
