I could be wrong, but I think after a certain 1.3.1 Threat Prevention version you can't use the Pro version any longer unless you already had it before that particular update.yes. I understand. How do I get my ET Pro Code for my 6600 router ???
I’ve done that. But was only inquiring about the license.Just do a web search for ‘proofpoint et pro licence’. At OPNsense you’ll find it is €749 per year, and there are conditions for getting it.
For me, I get a lot of dropped connection attempts by just enabling Misc Attack and then setting the single DBShield signature to drop. For some more set the 3CORESec signatures to drop, and also the ET CINS signatures. These were the three sets that had the least cross-over and most unique hits. You might want to drop the SCAN signatures in the low risk class, to minimise scanning for potential openings to further probe (let them directly try these blind, rather than scanning and finding what’s available).
But this is off-topic, so I’ll stop here.
No. I simply did a search for ET Pro license and - believe it or not, Synoforum.com came up as the place to go. So, that is why this conversation started.I could be wrong, but I think after a certain 1.3.1 Threat Prevention version you can't use the Pro version any longer unless you already had it before that particular update.
In any event, Proofpoint should be the way to go for acquiring the PRO license.
Strange. I know it was discussed a few times but seeing the price soon closed any interest.No. I simply did a search for ET Pro license and - believe it or not, Synoforum.com came up as the place to go. So, that is why this conversation started.
Nice tip, thanks. But I cannot find the last one - ET 3CORESec. Under which Class/Signature should I search?OK. Just saying that ET Open has a fair bit for free, but needs some customising. Not bad if you can’t meet the ET Pro conditions or afford €749 a year.
And just to correct myself, the Misc Attack groups where: ET DROP Dshield; ET CINS; and ET 3CORESec. If anyone else was interested in enabling these to drop connections.
Misc Attack (medium). All three are in there.Nice tip, thanks. But I cannot find the last one - ET 3CORESec. Under which Class/Signature should I search?
How weird. I haven't done anything, as far as I know, to add 3CORESec. Since I routinely backup and uninstall TP, to clear out the old signature versions, I'll do this now and see what happens. This is quite easy: reinstall TP then restore from the TP backup.Hmmm, I don't see it there. Maybe it's because this type of action never made a hit in my system?
