Have you ever…. Used a spectrum analyzer (with 75/50 ohm converter) to examine ISP’s cable feed for carrier flat-ness, etc?
I know it’s not the same as modem diagnostics when it comes to Ethernet connection, but it could point out RF issues on cable getting to the modem, such as roll off due to poor connections, water in coax, etc.
