The 100MB GOALAKE POE switch I just retired has an “Extended Ethernet” option where it can support a much longer POE + Ethernet connection than 300’. ( Though needs a converter at far end to get back to ‘Normal’ POE and Ethernet Levels — I heard — That I don’t have)..
Limited to 10MB. Camera is 100MB.
Has anyone done this sort of thing : with SS & POE Security camera, on an ‘Extended POE” connection, and if so, what was maximum distance length you achieved?
Also, did you need a MFG’s matching receiver at end or any generic one will work?
