Ds416play UPS

Hi all,

New here. I live in a rural area in the Uk. We suffer from fairly frequent power cuts.
I have a Ds416play it’s been out of use as I got fed up replacing dead hard drives which I suspect was due to the frequent power cuts. I need to get it back up and running but I need recommendation on a backup power supply ideally I would like it to run it just long enough to safely shut down, and also possibly power my router for a couple of hours as quite often when we get a power cut we also loose cell tower reception.
The drives I used were always western digital reds. As I believe they were more suited to NAS use.

Any recommendations I know support for it will be on the thin edge of the wedge so I don’t really want to have to buy a new unit.

In terms of compatibility any UPS will be supported, but to maximize the chances it would be best to stick with some brand names such as APC, EATON, Cyberpower, and the likes.

List some potential candidates on your end (considering you have not listed the price point), and we are sure other members will comment with some personal experiences or suggestions.
