Hello everyone,
New to the forum so I hope I'm posting this in the right location.
I'm considering purchasing a DS725+ but I'm wondering about connecting a UPS with a USB cable to allow for a proper shutdown if the power fails. On the back of the DS725+ there's a USB type C port but it's labelled "expansion" and there's no other USB port on the back. There's a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on the front but I don't want to connect the UPS to that port since I want to use it to connect to USB drives.
Is this "expansion" USB port strictly for expansion, or can it be used to connect to a UPS?
Thank you.
