WD Which portable SSD should I buy for video editing on the go?

So I just wrapped a two week shoot in three different cities, laptop balanced on my knees more nights than I'd like to admit, and my aging portable drive finally gave up mid transfer. Lost twenty minutes of footage before I caught it. Never again.

Now I'm hunting for something that can handle 4K timelines without choking, survive being tossed in a backpack, and actually keep up with my workflow. A colleague swears by Enterprise Storage Devices for reliability, but I don't know if that's overkill for a solo editor. What's actually working for you all these days?​

Are you interested in USB-C (10 Gbps) vs. USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps) vs. Thunderbolt 3/4/5? What capacity? Does physical size matter? Is there a budget ceiling?
