Any suggestion for a note software as a good alternative to Synology Note?

I need to use note software to collection thoughts and make charts everyday, making the notes collection for reflecting purpose.
  • I was using Synology Note, but it is hard to structure individual notes and have an overview on the entries. It does not have a folder tree system for good organization.
  • I also use Allmynotes organizer, it has good organization and good elements like charts, time stamps, fonts. But it only works on pc or laptop. So it is inconvenient if I want to use other devices. It also bad because there is no automatic saving function and sometimes the the saving was not actually successful.
  • I also used diary software but those are generally not good for structural organization.
I wonder if there are some software that are good for organizing notes with
(1) A folder tree system

(2) Good save option
(3) Form of data easy to be transferred to other software if needed
(4) No subscription cost
(5) Allowing charts, colors of text, and ability to edit charts.
(6) Time stamp and date stamp would be a plus.
(7) Attachment would be a plus but not necessary.

Thank you in advance! ❤️❤️❤️

Obsidian via Docker (for sync) would be my suggestion.
Thank you for this. I checked it a little bit.
It seems that it is similar to Joplin?

I feel I have a couple of concerns or obstacles for me.

(1) The images of it I found online about the documents/notes are usually in black background.
(2) No apparent buttons for charts.
(3) On the pages I do not see easy access to change fonts of texts?

It is a software for markdown files. Would it make the note pages/document unappealing to the eyes. Is there some plugins to improve this part of the software?

(4) Also, would it be hard to maintain it a functional state if the software gets update and certain plugin no longer works for it?

If you could answer a little bit more, it will be highly appreciated! ❤️

That comes down to the choice of a theme for Obsidian. You can have pink unicorns if you want

(2) No apparent buttons for charts.
Presently, Obsidian has over 2750 plugins, so that users can extend their version of the app however they choose, instead of it being bloated. Plugins

(3) On the pages I do not see easy access to change fonts of texts?
Again, there is a plugin for that, like the "Minimal Theme Settings" one

It is a software for markdown files
That would not be a correct definition. Obsidian is more of a "platform" than a software that produces the content in a markdown format.

3rd time, plugins and themes

(4) Also, would it be hard to maintain it a functional state if the software gets update and certain plugin no longer works for it?
Depends what you mean by "hard to maintain". Because it is based on Markdown, migration and export/import are aligned with your 3rd initial bullet/requirement. "Form of data easy to be transferred to other software if needed".

In terms of a certain plugin no longer working, that is the price of using open source software. You will either get a new plugin or adapt in some other way. But migrating away from Obsidian will not be an issue due to its open Markdown support.

Thank you very much for your patient explanation! !
