Interestingly, I'd bet you're using a self-hosted password manager.I’m a long time 1Password user, where they ditched local vaults so users had to have cloud-stored vaults. They never recanted on this, which is why I’m still on V7. I did try Vault/Bitwarden but am hesitant to be responsible for the database of my passwords.
Indeed. Same with C2 Transfer. I’m not surprised they are killing them off tbh. I am surprised they are not moving them to full commercial mode but I guess they did their research and came to the conclusion there is just a lot of it out there already. With C2 Password it was launched and Im struggling to recall much noise about it afterwards
Bitwarden has certain CEO changes that are pushing towards potential commercial only plans in the future. This might also complicate things for Vaultwarden and its compatibility with BW’s mobile clients. So, that needs to be taken into consideration.
Ofc for paid customers nothing changes (apart from some pricing).
I have started testing (migration and usage) with https://www.aliasvault.net/ and I have to say it works great.
Fully open (free mobile apps) and while it’s still in beta it’s in very active development.
Might be worth looking into it. Haven’t tested content migration from C2.
Atm it has all of it, apart from collections and shared options that BW/VW offersSo let us know after your deep testing, if aliasvault would be a good option, if it§s possible to selhost, has all or most functions like Bitwarde/Vaultwarden has etc
