HEIC not showing up in DSM

So, HEIC/HEIC thumbnails isn't displaying in DSM. I understand this was a decision by Synology a few years ago.
Is there a way around this? I've installed some Chrome plugin, Synology Image Assistant, but it doesn't seem to help.
