Retrieve Backup Status

Last edited:
Hi there.

I am using Active Backup for Business to backup VMware virtual machines.

I am trying to obtain a daily status of the virtual machine backup job to be displayed on our monitoring screen if backup jobs fail. I have found a script of a while back that retrieves the status information from the SQlite3 @ActiveBackup/activity.db database. For reference: GitHub - Glonki/Zabbix-SynologyABB: Zabbix - Synology Active Backup for Business

However, on my Synology the two database files activity.db and config.db are empty (zero bytes), even though it runs daily backups of the virtual machines. Is the status information of backup jobs for VMware VMs held elsewhere?

Thanks,
Jaap

Hi again, found my answer already.

There's a directory called /volume1/@ActiveBackup that holds the active database.

Hope this helps someone else, if I find a procedure that works I'll post it here.

Regards,
Jaap
