Version: 1.3.2-9366 Update 2

(2026-06-04)
Important Note

The update will be available for selected regions within the following weeks, although the release time in each region may vary slightly.

Fixed Issues
  1. Fixed a security vulnerability.
Notes:

Word of caution:
SRM Update reloads current packages.
If you have the patch for TP 1.3.2 loaded, the SRM Update will erase the patch fix.
TP 1.3.3 is supposed to be released in July.
In a perfect world those two SRM & TP should have been released simultaneously. Sigh!

Seeing that release notes only says “security issue”

And since I’m balancing having either a patched TP or Updated SRM……..

If anyone knows what the security issue was…. Would you post it??

So I can make an educated decision on which to do……

Wait until July for SRM, when TP is released…. And have fully operational TP…
Or…
Update SRM NOW, knowing it BREAKS TP AGAIN… and TP Temains Broke until July release, if what Support told me is accurate.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!

Let’s see if the support guy can shed any light on why the release, what it (security fix) was about, and why TP wasn’t part of release

All this communication from a National sparking Kenya

Received an update from support.
All I mentioned (above) regarding SRM & TP Patch is Correct, and so on release notes for SRM. He is asking others for more info, and asked agin why TP is delayed.

Hi,

I hesitate to blindly patch home router in sommer time (aka: vacation time) if not necessary.

What do we know about this fix so far? I doubt we will get detail info on that, but worth to ask.

Best regards,

Patch made by Synology software support - and installed on 2 of my 3 2600’s also by software support. based on a broke TP 1.3.2 feature that first showed in TP1.3.2… patch has been running fine on 2x 2600’s for 3 months.
Installing a new SRM Update erases the patch, as posted before.

As for SRM Update: release notes are not clear: I can’t determine if the security fix is great enough where should consider SRM knowing it will erase TP Patch, or if threat is minor, continue testing patched TP that now works correctly.

I do have a 3rd 2600 presently with an Un-Patched TP. Which 1.3.2-2 can Be used on.

Just received this:

We have an update from the development team. Since the security issue addressed in the latest SRM fix has not yet been publicly disclosed, we are unable to provide specific details at this time. I'll request you to wait for the official release of the Threat Prevention, so that you can install it on your routers.

So: With the ‘direction’ received:

The 2x 2600’s WITH TP “Patch” stay at SRM 1.3.2-1….

The 1x 2600 WITHOUT TP “Patch” was Updated to SRM 1.3.2-2. Remotely, via:
DS ROUTER.

In the meantime I await TP 1.3.3, or whatever next version is, in July.

8-9 hours later I notice CPU & Ram usage under 1.3.2-2 is less than usual: CPU 33-47% RAM 46%
Same approx results 24 hours later - CPU & RAM

So, you have a custom patch ontop? I am not suprised it gets erased by installation of new version of SRM.

What does that patch fix for you?

Threat prevention. Bug in map display.
Support added two different patches (both work fine). I’ve been testing both for 3 months.
When SRM 1.3.2-1 came out it erased patch on one 2600, and on second patch install by Support, they tried a different patch approach. I believe I’m testing 2 different types.

I see.. I don't use threat prevention. In the beginning I noticed spikes in CPU usage which were way too high to be called normal.

But, other that that, I didn't find that some had issues with this latest update. They didn't brake something with latest fix?

Not seeing that here.
Just using TP & SA packages, on 2600, and TP running on external USBV3 SSD. No pauses or slowdowns seen, and I’m using the non standard: “Process all packets” TP option. I’m seeing 40-50% on CPU, and 50% give or take RAM on 1.3.2-2
I surmise I can get away using USBV3 speeds without 2.4Ghz interference - due to clip-on RFI filter or metal enclosure on usbv3 external SSD.

Regarding -2 and potential breaks… it was installed via DS ROUTER, with me sitting about 12,000 miles away or so - from the router…… it installed, and from 12000 miles away I could not notice any difference!
I can say that remote QC Connection via DS ROUTER, or DS FINDER, or DS FILE, or DS CAM, all of which I used 12,000 miles away from that distance…. Wasn’t any faster or slower at -2, or before the -2 update……. Which doesn’t say much cause QC is kinda slow - but it works, as I have tested, Worldwide!

Home. Confirmed all that I could not see via DS Router... from after the upgrade, remotely... All seems fine... with 1.3.2-2
CPU & RAM still seems a little lower on -2 than on previous versions before....
