Any way to "trick" Video Stations database from adding moves to "RECENTLY ADDED"..?

So I have over a 1500 movies in a movie folder over several years. In the beginning I was just downloading the MKVs and slapping them on my NAS, so all the files are 10GB or larger, now that I'm comfortable encoding with handbrake I want to start running movies through it to reduce the space used, but when I re-encode and drop in the folder they will show up under the RECENTLY ADDED section. Anyone know a "Trick" to prevent that? I tried an attribute changer and changed the creation/modified dates, but seems the database goes by when you drop the file in the indexable folder. Not the END of the world, but would be cool to control. ;)
