Important notes​

1. Your Synology NAS may not notify you of this DSM update because of the following reasons. If you want to update your DSM to this version now, please click here to update it manually.
   • The update is not available in your region yet. The update is expected to be available for all regions within the next few days, although the time of release in each region may vary slightly.
   • Your DSM is working fine without having to update. The system evaluates service statuses and system settings to determine whether it needs to update to this version.
2. This update will restart the device.

Note also that there are 7.2.2 Update 8 and 7.2.1 Update 11.

DSM 7.1.1 was last updated in July 2025.
DSMs 7.0.1 and 6.24 were last updated in November 2024

done on experimental NAS ... did normal tests... all ok.... by that time I was getting emails from other NAS's regarding this upgrade...... So: applied everywhere.
Wasn't this same one fixed a while back? EDIT: No! This is a NEW Telnet issue! (I'm Still awaiting -2 security 'fix list' -- And TP update, too!) And just to be completely anal, On Experimental NAS, after -3 + 30 min: verified drives were reporting Healthy, but did a SMART Test on them anyway.... Good... OK, -2 crazy-ness was a fluke!

I did the update on teh 2423RP+ and 1821+, both seemed to reboot fine and have run for 24 hours with no issues.

Only weirdness is update 3 came up in the software update panel on the 2423 but only update 2 came up on teh 1821 (so I just did a manual update). If this is that critical, it should come up everywhere, no?
