Synology Drive Client/Team Folder Issue

I think this is the correct forum, but if it needs to be moved that's fine.

I've got Drive working well, including syncing to several users PC with the desktop client. No issues there. What I am running into is maybe a granularity issue.

I have a team folder; lets say "Folder 1" that is restricted to only a few users. There is however some data that needs to be interacted with by restricted users. I have the appropriate sub-folders shared and that works fine, the users can access via the web or the drive app in the "Shared with me" section, but nothing that I haven't explicitly shared.

The issue is one of the items that needs to be accessed is a spreadsheet and currently it looks like the only way is to have users download it, make changes and upload it, which needless to say is not ideal.

It looks like I can only sync Team folders (Root folders) using the drive client but I am hoping there is a way to be able to sync the shared sub-folders individually without having to just make a new Team/Root folder.

Hopefully this makes sense! Any info is appreciated.

Thanks.

Synology Drive is fairly flexible when selecting folders... however there is this caveat:

Thanks for that, I definitely missed that caveat. It does make though. I guess if I un-sync the original and then maybe I can sync the child folders individually, that should work. I'll give it a shot...

Hi.
I am running in, I think, the same problem.

10 years using Synology Drive with multiple computers. Lately I added my replacement one to the sync task.
Everything that was synced on my old computer, thus was sync to the NAS, did end up synced on my new computer.

I start using my new computer, thus creating, copying, moving, files and folders.
That's somewhere there that it all started, but I didn't notice.

Fews months later, on my new computer, I ran into subfolders that are not synched nor have the Synology Drive context menu, while their neighbourgs folders have it.

Here is an example

My first move was that those items where not selected in the Synology Drive Client Sync Tasks Settings.
Nope, they are not listed there at all, missing.

The tests (all didn't worked) I did to resolve these forgotten items :
-. Restart computer and NAS
-. Force Synology Drive Server : Synology Community
-. Restart Synology Drive Client
-. Uninstall and reinstall Synology Drive Client then recreate Sync Task
At that last test, I was sure that it was going to be synced since there was that little status symbol beside...
Nope... Drive completed its work without caring for these items.

Any idea how to fix this problem ?
The hard thing about this is that I don't know how many items are in this situation.
I don't want to loose them ; they are not backed up.
And don't want to manually open the 3500 folders to find them.

Thanks for your time.
