Important Note

  1. After installing this update, you will not be able to downgrade to a previous DSM version.
  2. This update will restart your Synology NAS.
  3. If auto update does not run, perform a manual update in Control Panel. Before updating, follow the instructions and complete the required actions to ensure success.
  4. To uphold our commitment to quality, every DSM release undergoes rigorous validation. To ensure optimal stability, the models listed below will not receive this update on your device and will remain on their most suitable version. You can only download the upgrade patch from Synology Download Center because you won't receive notifications for this update on your DSM.

Fixed Issues

  1. Fixed an issue where backup files containing encrypted volumes might not function properly when restored to DSM 7.3.
  2. Fixed an issue where users might be required to re-enter their license keys after updating to DSM 7.3 when migrating a system or operating in an SHA-enabled environment.
  3. Fixed an issue where users could not authenticate using Approve sign-in or FIDO2-compliant hardware security keys before authorization in OAuth Service.
  4. Fixed an issue where users might fail to authenticate when configuring SSO clients to use C2 Identity as the identity provider with the SAML protocol.
  5. Fixed an issue where DSM might fail to send files from File Station as attachments when accounts were configured through Outlook.
  6. Fixed an issue where notification profiles might be incorrect when restoring from configuration backup files.
  7. Fixed an issue that prevented certain UPnP renderers from playing MP3 files after updating to DSM 7.3.
  8. Fixed a security vulnerability.

Really?? That is why we have a new release in less than 2 weeks :D.

Speaking, I have just logged onto my test units and all are already showing this new 7.3.2 ready for update. This rarely happens, so I would say this is an important one considering what it covers.

Only seeing 1 of 2 720+ reporting -2 is ready, and it’s not the experimentally 720+.
718+ didn’t, but I don’t think it ever will.
Agree with you on the rapid -2 - Is your experimental -2 OK?
This Using yesterday’s New Version - DS FINDER.. on iPhone.
In an hour or so will be able to manual upload on experimental 720+

I have updated so far onto 2 devices, and will deploy one 918 right now. Also all virtual ones have passed with no issues so far.

UPDATE: DS918 running fine, no issues so far.

Please indicate when 918 is OK

Updated MY NON-Experimental 720+ to -2 via NEW DS FINDER app on iPhone, then tested DS FINDER (Obviously!), DS CAM, DS FILE (Still see’s/uses 3rd Party ESATA drive & Enclosure) , DRIVE, remotely. Ok.

I have updated my initial replay. 918 is working fine.

Be aware.... This version (again) is not indicating the -2 update in it's indication of it's current version.... Does this mean, like the -1 version, that a second -2 update will occur??

No you can update to this version from 7.2.2 or pure 7.3 as well. This is a cumulative update, not an incremental (UP-xxx) version.

Neither of my DSM 7.3 supported NAS have notification about this update.

I've manually updated my DS218+. Running for 45 minutes now and seems to be OK. The Sabrent USB 2.5 GbE using third party driver from bb-qq (GitHub) was up and running.

All updated here... (Second 720+ & 718+ manual installs - neither reported -2 was available), though my oldest 720+ did see update was available. I see No issues .... all systems see and use 3rd party ram and ESATA systems... and Apps used here tested fine....

I’ve deleted my info that was just wrong. Thanks Rusty for the correction

Edit: Start of day 2, and no issues encountered.

Could it be that this is way early releases are now working? no Dash Number until final final release, like -1 did?
They always had it this way. Any "-x" was a incremental update, and sure enough it came after the initial release, so nothing new. The fact that they been known to pull the update and than release the new one under the old name, now that is still something that could happen, but they did start to change the 5-digit mark to avoid early adopters from updating to the "fixed" version.

First post, just joined a few minutes ago.
A few weeks ago, I was on Synology's website and saw that DSM 7.3.* was available. I was a bit surprised when my DS218j failed to notify me about that, but I went ahead and downloaded/installed 7.3.2-86009.
I happened on this post from the main forum page a few minutes ago, and was surprised to learn that:

Dummy me, I either didn't read the release notes or I failed to notice the DS218j was one of the models for which "optimal stability" can't be "ensured". I'm disappointed that there was no other warning outside of the release notes.
Thankfully, everything appears to be working fine now, but I probably would not have upgraded had I known "optimal stability" would have been a concern.
