I have OpenVPN installed on my Synology NAS with the aim of allowing users from various locations to log in to the NAS, both via mobile data and WiFi when on site. While mobile access functions properly, accessing the NAS from locations with WiFi poses...
Hello nice people,
I have a Synology DS1513+ in SHR mode and 1 of my 5x HGST Deskstar NAS 4TB 7200RPM SATA III CMR 64MB Cache died after 10 years of use and I'm in the market for a replacement. Those drivers are not 4Kn, so from what I understood I'm limited to buying 512n or 512e drives...

Synology BeeStation Personal Cloud Review
What IS the BeeStation? Of all the products I’ve spoken about from Synology in nearly 25 years of solutions from the brand, the new BeeStation is possibly one of the most conventional yet surprising they have ever released. We first spoke about the...
Greetings from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
I have for sale two NAS units model DS1618+. They were acquired in August/September 2020. Although it is a bit cliché, they ARE in pristine condition. I still have the boxes they came in along with all the packaging. One unit was used as a backup for the...

Hi all I sorted out being able to access my NAS through a domain name using a static IP address and cloudflare (& ZeroTrust as an additional security layer), and had it working OK.
However our Broadband was slow so we upgraded to a fibre service to allow faster access for when I'm away but have...
I'm used to "LastPass" which works fine, however I'm interested in running something similar entirely on my NAS. Anyone got any experience and can recommend a solution that is easy to install and maintain?

Hi all. Here is the situation.
Intent:
Copy all files from an old DS918+ (4-bay) to a new DS224+ (2-bay).
The DS224+ will become my primary NAS and I'll keep the old DS918+ sync'd as a backup.
Hardware:
DS918+: 4 x 4TB, SHR, Btrfs, single storage pool, 6TB used of 8.7TB.
DS224+: 2 x 8TB...
Ok. Here's a weird question. I currently run a DS1621+ as my main NAS with 6x10tb drives. I use a DS1618+ as my backup NAS with 4x14tb and 2x10tb. Can I physically swap the drives to gain access to a larger storage pool for day-to-day operations and repurpose the smaller pool as my backup? This...
