I've had my RT6600 for a few years but sold it recently. Yeah it had a nice UI but I don't think it was worth the money to be honest. I think it was my worst Synology-purchase to be honest (love their NAS-units though...). Synology routers are rare here in Sweden nowadays. Anyone heard about the...
Hi, I too have this issue where the processing rates are very slow (under 1Mbps) and I'm not sure where or how to start off in having this resolved.
The speed is bad only on wi-fi when "dragging & dropping" data to NAS or from NAS. If I transfer data from an external hard by cable, all is...
Hi,
I have a set of 3 synology NAS' which are set up to sync the same folder wirh Synology Drive / Sharesync. This works very well over addresses over the local network. Now I have these NAS'es placed elsewhere and I run the outer connections via the Tailscale app. Tailscale proved to be...

So I have a small work group 5 to 10 people that work in an office I'm thinking of putting in a Synology NAS now just for file sharing. Something in the plus range of Synology products, maybe the DiskStation® DS925+ I just need to run Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise software in Windows 11 for...
Hi everyone,
I'd like to share a tool I've been working on called SynoXtract. It's a lightweight C++ utility designed to decrypt and extract contents from Synology .pat or .spk archive files.
Key Features:
Decryption & Extraction: Automatically handles encryption keys and extracts files from...
Hi
I have finally managed to get OpenVPN to work to connect to my NAS. I have set up DNS Server on Synology, I have two profiles (full and split tunnel).
I have checked VPN Server and says that my phone is connected. however, I then cannot access anything. I suspect this falls under user error...
Hi
We have had our NAS for a bit and only really used it as a backup. I recently went digging around and discovered some useful apps like Synology Photos and DS Audio.
I believe I have set it up correctly (used a few You Tube tutorials), but I must have missed something but I cannot work out...
As businesses increasingly move workloads to the cloud, more organizations are realizing the importance of protecting cloud data. In fact, according to Infrascale, 76% of MSPs in the U.S. now focus on backing up cloud applications for their clients. Among these, Microsoft 365 remains the most...
Authored by Rex Huang, Director at Synology Enterprise Application Group behind solutions such as Synology Drive, Office, MailPlus, Calendar, and Chat. It’s been ten years since we first released what would become Synology Office. Back in 2015, the package launched as Spreadsheet, a real-time...

Hello, I read that with the latest software update, the DS925+ and 1525+ will be able to use 3rd party drives again. Supposing I buy brand new during the BF Sale and the NAS came with an older version of the OS, what can I do to use the 3rd party drives? Do I need to buy a Synology HD to do the...
Hey everyone, really excited to join the community. I am very new to Synology and just bought a ds1525+. I have been researching for NAS solutions for years and did have a custom home server I made myself which died but have finally got around to getting a NAS. I absolutely love tinkering and...
Unlike Seagate's warranty, which is based on serial number, it appears that Synology's HDD, SSD and NVMe warranty applies only to the original buyer. Am I reading this correctly? Has anyone here encountered this issue when buying or selling 'used' Synology storage media?
Do you have a failover for the times your mail serving Synology is off-line?
I'm going to guess another Synology is the sensible way. Or maybe mail can be routed to some other host for safe keeping and later delivery?
Either way, what are the details?!
Thanks
